Light. A particle and a wave. I just read an article the other day, might be true, maybe not be true? But I'm fascinated by the idea. A proton exits the sun (something that can take as long as one million years from the core to the corona ) finally "birthed" from the star that produced it, and travels at a constant speed of 186,000 miles per second until it reaches us. If it came from our star, it will journey for about eight minutes and twenty seconds. If it comes from our closest neighboring star, Proxima Centauri, it will travel about four years and three month, and if it came from the outer most reaches of space, it will take about thirteen billion years for this proton to hit us. All of this is true and not what I'm fascinated by.
Because light travels at the constant,186,000 mps, for this particle, not one second of time has passed. Its an Einstein thing, physics, whatever. Because time is relative (and this is based on speed) once you get to 186,000 miles per second, time stops. The rest of us age. But for the proton, light itself is both birthed out of its star and reaches us, at the same moment. No time has passed. For us, yes! But not for the proton. Not even after a billion light year journey.
The title of the artwork above is Everywhere You Look. Does it have anything to do with light? I mean? Sure. Light is firing through the image from the eyes of the goddess, Athena, traveling at the constant. She stares, like all of the visible eyes in the piece, through space and time, and a multitude of parallel realms, both physical and spirit filled, but also into adjacent quantum realms where time does not fit the standard we know.
Everywhere You Look was the key work for my RGB: Present, Quantum, and Adjacent Realms art show. Each of the green colored panels in the show represent a Quantum Bridge. This bridge connects realms and is void of time. Recent studies are beginning to have a deeper understanding of quantum, showing that many things traverse this bridge: present, past, and future information, as well as the unexplained or misunderstood. The bridge I share has no filter and often contains corrupt data. These ideas are represented in the works of art with images of physics, language, angels, demons, gods, and monsters.
With Green residing in the middle (RGB), as a bridge or staircase linking separate floors, it becomes the optimal place to steal information from Red, and collude with the spirit (Blue), especially with elements of spiritual darkness. Angels and demon types. Why? Though many might not understand the science, and others might not believe in the spirit, there is something going on around us - everywhere you look. Can we see it? I think so. I tend to believe my best visual of it takes place while asleep. You may have heard the brain never shuts off? It doesn't. It just moves onto different tasks when we aren't awake. Dreams anyone? Dreams with misunderstood information that we have no idea how to decipher, connecting to us through the spirit and unseen realms? Quantum?
Hard to say, but I've been focusing on these ideas for some time now. They're embedded into the psychological thrillers I write. In my fiction novel series, Thirty-Nine Sketches (#39Sketches), quantum vibes don't make their appearance until book three, but once you see it, you recognize the connections that started all the way back in book one - White Horse Red Blood, where the main character, a man whose lost his wife and daughter and knows how to find them, begins to break all of the laws in order to make his way back to them. Spoiler - its faith-based. Angels and demons, and alternate realms, but these things aren't the focus. Connection is. Collecting what we need, and throwing out the rest. The quantum bridge ideas above are filled with clutter and tension. I simply tried to make them look as appealing as possible. A trap of sorts that we haven't even begun to understand or unravel. A trap that is eluded to in most of what I currently make, with an exit to something far greater one realm away. @39Sketches White Horse Red Blood
